Driven Diesel DD-GOS-ASSY Mechanical Clutch Fan Hub Assembly

The Driven Diesel DD-GOS-ASSY Mechanical Clutch Fan Hub Assembly will allow the use of a mechanical fan clutch on your 2003-2018 Dodge Ram Equipped With A 5.9L/6.7L Diesel Engine. This assembly includes the Driven Diesel Fan Hub Adapter and a new Fan Hub Bearing pre-installed into a Reconditioned Bearing Housing, making the installation a simple bolt-on process. Due to the frequent problems with the factory electronic fan clutch, you may be interested in switching to a good mechanical clutch solution. The Hub adapter in this kit will allow you to make this change and you will need a mechanical fan clutch from a 1994-1997 Ford Diesel Pickup. To use your existing engine fan blade, you must have the 6-Bolt blade assembly that is typically found on 2003-2008 trucks only. If you have the 4-Bolt blade assembly, you will need to purchase the fan blade as well.

Driven Diesel recommends using the Ford 1994-1997 Diesel Fan Clutch and the Ford 6.0L Fan (23.25" Diameter). They have tested a number of fan clutch brands and had the best luck with OEM Ford units that can be hard to find, older, good working used models have worked best. Your mileage may vary, but it is safe to say that even some brand-new clutches do not perform as well as some old/used Ford units.
