The Mopar 68490011AA Glow Plug is a drop-in replacement for the factory glow plug in your 3.0L Ecodiesel-powered Ram or Jeep. Replacing bad glow plugs can eliminate check engine lights and hard starting in cold climates. The purpose of a glow plug is to heat the incoming intake air, allowing the engine to start more easily in cold weather since diesels rely upon the compression and heating of the ambient air. In cold weather conditions, the ambient air temperature can be too cold for combustion to begin, thus requiring a heating element to warm the air as it enters the combustion chamber. This is a genuine Mopar replacement and is built to the same high-quality standards as the original components that were installed on your truck from the factory. Quantity 6 glow plugs per engine.
