The Mishimoto Transmission Cooler MMTC-DMAX-20 will improve the transmission cooling in your GM Silverado/Sierra 2500HD/3500HD 6.6L Duramax L5P. The stock transmission cooler on your truck is sized for stock-duty use, and fluid temperatures climb quickly under sustained loads from towing and heavy hauling. Excessive fluid heat wears a transmission out faster than the correct operating range. This transmission cooler tackles the problem with raw capacity: a tube-and-fin core design that delivers a 245% increase in core volume over stock. This increased capacity offers far more headroom to keep fluid temperatures in a safe range when your Duramax is working hardest.

The core of the Mishimoto Transmission also adds a 137% increase in frontal area, putting more of the cooler directly in the incoming airstream. A 173% increase in external fin area allows this trans cooler to transfer heat from the fluid into the air more efficiently. Manufactured from aluminum, this unit will handle the thermal demands of stock and modified trucks alike. This cooler retains the stock transmission line connections for a clean, complete upgrade with no additional fittings, adapters, lines, or plumbing. This direct fit cooler requires no drilling, cutting, or modification for installation.
