Driven Diesel GOS-FANHUB Fan Hub Adapter

XDP carries the Driven Diesel GOS-FANHUB Fan Hub Adapter that will allow the use of a mechanical fan clutch on your 2003-2018 Dodge Ram 5.9L/6.7L Diesel. Due to the frequent problems with the factory electronic fan clutch, you may be interested in switching to a good mechanical clutch solution. This adapter will allow you to make this change and you will need a mechanical fan clutch from a 1994-1997 Ford Diesel Pickup. To use your existing engine fan blade, you must have the 6-Bolt blade assembly that is typically found on 2003-2008 trucks only. If you have the 4-Bolt blade assembly, you will need to purchase the fan blade as well.

The GOS Fan Hub Adapter was originally designed for customers who wanted to swap a 5.9L/6.7L engine into a non-Dodge chassis. Using the factory Dodge electronic engine fan in a conversion project can be a real hassle. Many conversion owners have found that keeping the engine cool with the Dodge electronic fan can be quite difficult. This adapter hub from GOS Performance will allow the use of a Ford mechanical fan clutch and fan on your Dodge Diesel engine. This eliminates fooling around with electronic controls and offers a much more reliable "mechanical" solution to cooling your conversion engine.

Driven Diesel recommends using the Ford 1994-1997 Diesel Fan Clutch and the Ford 6.0L Fan (23.25" Diameter). They have tested a number of fan clutch brands and had the best luck with OEM Ford units that can be hard to find, older, good working used models have worked best. Your mileage may vary, but it is safe to say that even some brand-new clutches do not perform as well as some old/used Ford units.
